DJ shadow released “The Mountain Will Fall” back in early May and this connection with De la Soul was a part of it. This is great to hear from De la again after their trials with tommy boy and Trugoy’s illness. This is a fun hiphop song with a node to classic hiphop style. De la even exchanges that classic sing songy cadence employed by pioneers and kept alive in the sounds of groups like Jurassic 5. This is the type of jawn I run a few miles to. ENJOY!
