Somewhere between poet and emcee sits Bentley. His album “street knowledge” plays like a modern blaxsploitation soundtrack, with each track being stories and perspective from a young man struggling with the harsh reality of life from a lense of a poor kid in the south. The beats are trap influenced with a soul samples mixed in. Very minimalists soundscapes that perfectly match the subject matter. I originally discovered Bently as a collaborator with the G sides out of Huntsville. He has always been a impressive storyteller and lyricist and that continues on this project. ENJOY! and support good indie music
