I will be the first to admit this is not my favorite CL smooth cut. However,It is far superior content wise to the shallow mainstream garble that professes love but only from a superficial prospective. This was a risk because he is touching on being head over heels for a woman and not mind giving her the world. The current stream of rappers would call this tricking but it is actually a lane developed by the late, great Heavy D. Heavy was a master of mixing conventional quiet storm R&B or uptempo modern R&B sounds into good rap songs that didn’t come off cheesy. I think CL got his point across here, the only draw backs is the forgettable singing on the hook by Kier and his rhymes are watered down compared to what we know Cl is capable of. I enjoyed this jawn even though my critique sounds harsh. What do ya’ll think?
