Dean Priest dropped some much needed soulful hip-hop recently in his single “Beautiful You”. He brings along southern super lyricist and one of my favorite indie emcees ChriStyle for the collabo and it is dope. From the chosen sound bed to the accompanying samples “Beautiful you” is a jawn that is much needed in a hip-hop landscape overcrowded with pimp talk and misogyny. Dean and Christyle fearlessly pen a tribute to feminine beauty without coming across soft. We need more emcees to take note of this in our culture for balance….All I can say is well done and Thank you again to this dope emcees for keeping the true school fires lit. ENJOY!
