Ever since the Basement tapes the independent duel threat producer/emcee Haru has been quietly working on tracks for other artists around the region and obviously plotting his next soulful offering to provide the masses. Well, now he has decided to give us dope taste of what he has been cooking up during his hiatus in the form of “The chant” featuring J kim and produced by none other than Haru(of course). “The Chant” is a feel good jawn with summer anthem type vibe. The beat is a bouncy soundscape and the hook is infectious and demands to be repeated. This continues my string of posts surrounding songs that are going to occupy the rest of my summer and probably beyond. I am working on tracking Haru down in the upcoming week or so to do a QA about what he has coming to kick off our artist interview series….In the meantime enjoy “The chant”.
