I have followed Hec Dolo’s production for sometime because he is the type of producer that makes my kind of hiphop, i.e. Beats laced with soulful samples and hard hitting drums. Some people choose to label it and call it boom-bap or true school. Well with or without the subgenre labeling, I call it dope. He connects with Indie emcee Laelo on this jawn to create a soulful banger called “One time for hip-hop”. Laelo’s voice is slightly gruff with a smooth out finished and it melts into the track perfectly. His delivery and wordplay is also perfect for this track. All in All this joint is a banger and allowed me to discover a emcee that I wasn’t familiar with besides his “Mr.High definition mixtape“. Good Work! ENJOY!
