I am going to keep it 100. I slept on the Tragedy Khadafi album dropped in 2014 entitled “pre-magnum opus”. Probably because I was covered up with my many duties associated with being a super human hip hop head or maybe it slipped passed my radar. Either way this album belonged squarely on my list of top albums for 2014. The production and the lyrics are on point and I actually think Tragedy is one of the vets who is truly getting better with time. The subject matter is what you come to expect from Tragedy over the years i.e. street revolutionary rhetoric over sample heavy beats. That is not a bad thing in my opinion, I am all for artists mastering their lane and branching out from their own perspective. Tragedy does a great job of this and the album is well worth the listen for any self respecting head. ENJOY! and peep Gods of war below.
